I told my wife I wasn't going to make my daughter go back to her room simply because her son decided he wanted to come home.

There have been times when I would even be doing something in the living room and she'd ask me to come to the bedroom so her son could have the living room.

I kindly told her that the living room was not a bedroom if someone was in there watching TV and her son would have to wait.

My wife knew her son was coming home so she alluded to the fact that my daughter needed to leave the living room and go back to her room so her son could go to sleep.
